Saturday 4th June - Off to the Isles of Scilly

It was an early start for everyone. The Crouchen Clan, Margaret, Nicky and Vanessa, and David were up at 0245 in order to get away and off to Penzance for the 0630 ferry.

Sunday 5th June - A boat trip to Tresco

We woke up to a slightly overcast sky, which was a bit of a disappointment after yesterdays glorious weather. After a good breakfast courtesy of Chris & Sheila, DJ Cabs arrived with Alan & Pat and we all headed off to the harbour to catch a boat to Tresco.

Our timing was excellent and we arrived just in time to purchase the tickets, £12 - no concessions (because pensioners cause more problems than the young 'uns), so we made our way down the steps to the 'Seahorse' boat and headed off to Tresco.

Monday 6th June - The Electric Buggy Adventure

It was another good and filling breakfast to start the day and then I headed off, leaving the three ladies at breakfast, to pick up the only 6-seater electric golf cart available for hire on the island. I walked from our B&B in Porthcressa Road to Moor Well Lane and the The Electric Cart Company.

The Electric Cart Company have not been going that long, but they are ideal for those needing a bit of help getting around the island. At £40 per day, 9AM to 6PM, it is not exactly cheap, but considering how useful it was and how much fun we would probably do it again. So with map in hand we set off to pick up Alan & Pat.

Tuesday 7th June - Last Day and Going Home

We had to check out of the B&B by 10AM, but Chris and Shiela let us leave our stuff in the B&B until later and we arranged for our cases to be taken to the ship by the luggage service.

So the day was really just about having another wander round the town, making some purchases and chillin' out.

Way to the pier, Mermaid Pub is just behind us, and boat ticket kiosk up ahead.
